Which formats are supported?

Input: CSV, TSV, Excel (XLSX/XLS) and JSON. Output: CSV, Excel (XLSX), JSON and Markdown tables. In the paste tab you can paste a cell range copied from Excel — tab-separated data is detected automatically.

Will Excel open the downloaded CSV correctly?

Yes. CSV files from sheetmoa include a UTF-8 BOM, so Excel opens them with all non-ASCII characters intact.

My Korean/legacy CSV shows garbled characters

Many CSV files saved by older spreadsheet apps use legacy encodings such as EUC-KR (CP949). sheetmoa first reads your file as UTF-8 and, if it detects broken characters (�), automatically retries with the EUC-KR decoder. Legacy .xls files are read with codepage 949 as a fallback too. If it still looks wrong, re-save the file as "CSV UTF-8" in Excel.
